ABOUT US

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Housing Solutions Partnership is to increase the availability and affordability of housing for local workers in North Idaho.

Planning professionals in Kootenai County have worked together on planning issues including growth management, housing and transportation for many years. The year 2020 brought heightened concerns as in-migration numbers and housing prices spiked throughout the region. In response, Coeur d’Alene Council Member Kiki Miller and Community Planning Director Hilary Patterson spearheaded the creation of the Regional Housing and Growth Issues Partnership.

Now known as the Housing Solutions Partnership, the coaliton partners are working toward the common goal of increasing the availability and affordability of housing for North Idaho’s workers.

The partnership’s Working Group includes regional planners, elected representatives, housing support organizations and others who are key to the partnership’s mission. The partnership also has an Advisory Group, comprised of representatives from a variety of organizations and community groups.

Panhandle Area Council provides fiscal oversight and contract management for the all-volunteer group, though the partnership is not a program under PAC. Any inquiries about the partnership should be made through this website.

Contributions in support of the housing effort can be made via check payable to “PAC restricted to Housing Solutions Partnership,” and mailed to 11100 N. Airport Drive, Hayden, Idaho 83835.
