Do you need housing help or other support services? There a number of nonprofits and public agencies in North Idaho that provide housing and support services to members of the Kootenai County community. 

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

The mission of St. Vincent de Paul’s Housing Department is to provide permanent housing without prejudice, treating each household they serve with respect, fairness, integrity and compassion. 

CDAIDE

CDAIDE serves Coeur d’Alene-area hospitality workers by meeting their immediate needs, connecting them with resources for long term self-sufficiency, and ensuring they feel valued, respected, and loved. 

PAHA

 Panhandle Affordable Housing Alliance is devoted to bringing homes, through rental and ownership, within reach of more people who would otherwise not afford it. Visit PAHA’s website to learn more about Miracle On Britton.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho  helps Kootenai County residents achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better home for themselves and their families. 

FAMILY PROMISE

Family Promise of North Idaho provides guidance and support to families with children who need temporary food and shelter while seeking permanent employment and affordable housing. 

NORTH IDAHO COLLEGE

The Center for New Directions (CND) at North Idaho College (NIC) assists single parents and displaced homemakers with community resources and exploration of career and educational paths. 

AREA AGENCY ON AGING

 The Area Agency on Aging of North Idaho, located in Coeur d’Alene, provides information and support that maximizes independence and quality of life for older adults, individuals with disabilities and vulnerable adults 18 years and older. 

HOMESHARE KC

 Homesharing enables two or more unrelated people to share housing for their mutual benefit. Every homesharing arrangement is unique. It’s about people helping people.
